Do you remember when the flurry of self-help books came out back in the 70's and 80's? I was reminded of many of those books as I reorganized by book shelf a few weeks ago. I was coming of age during those years. The one I remember most readily was "Looking Out For #1." Of course this book runs counter to the message Christ gave us, "consider others better than yourselves." The secret to fulfillment is not in service to self, but in service to others!
